HUM

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is the principal intergovernmental body of the United Nations responsible for promoting and protecting human rights across the globe. Established in 2006, the Council addresses violations of civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights while fostering international cooperation, dialogue, and accountability. Comprising 47 Member States, UNHRC examines emerging human rights challenges, adopts resolutions, and recommends measures to uphold human dignity. In this committee, delegates will engage in constructive debate, diplomacy, and consensus-building to formulate balanced solutions that safeguard fundamental rights while addressing complex global issues through the principles of equality, justice, and international cooperation.
