THE SECRETARY GENERAL

It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome you all to the 2nd Session of the Udyam Model United Nations conference. Serving as the Secretary-General has been a role of significant responsibility and learning, and it is a privilege to witness this conference bring together a diverse group of motivated and thoughtful individuals. Model United Nations serves as an academic platform that extends beyond conventional debate. It encourages participants to engage with global issues through research, analysis, and structured dialogue. In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to approach challenges with clarity, respect differing viewpoints, and collaborate effectively is essential.

This conference aims to cultivate these skills while promoting a deeper understanding of international affairs. The committees established for this session have been designed to address relevant and complex global concerns. Delegates are encouraged to approach their roles with preparation, discipline, and an open mind. The objective is not solely to present arguments, but to engage in meaningful deliberation and contribute towards balanced and well-reasoned outcomes.

The successful organisation of this conference reflects the sustained efforts of a dedicated Secretariat and Organising Committee. Their professionalism and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring that this platform operates effectively. I extend my sincere appreciation to them, as well as to our advisors and Executive Board members, for their guidance and support.

WHAT IS UDYAM MUN ?

Udyam Model United Nations began as a vision to bring diplomacy and debate to the global community. What started as a thought in 2023 finally took flight in 2025, becoming the next era of discussion and diplomacy. Udyam, meaning "Entrepreneurial" in Hindi, is one of the many student-led events in which students of the senior secondary section serve as organisers, ensuring that our delegates have the best experience at our conference. Handling things like delegate affairs to logistics. Our Secreteriat, which mirrors the same structure as the real-world UN Secreteriat for greater undestanding of global diplomacyHaving successfully held its first edition in 2025, Team Udyam is ready to launch its second edition in 2026, hoping to reach more future diplomats and provide them with a platform to excel and showcase thier talents to the world.

Udyam MUN is a student-run initiative. At UDYAM Model United Nations, diplomacy meets innovation in an environment designed to empower tomorrow's leaders. Guided by the spirit of “United for a Change,” UDYAM provides delegates with a platform to debate global challenges, negotiate impactful solutions, and develop critical leadership skills. Through dynamic committees, engaging crisis simulations, and intellectually stimulating agendas, participants experience the true essence of international relations and policymaking. Beyond debate, UDYAM fosters collaboration, confidence, and global awareness, creating an unforgettable conference experience where ideas inspire action and every delegate is encouraged to become a catalyst for meaningful change.

Udyam also aims to bring about a global revolution and sensitise the youth of today to make them informed future citizens. Udyam shall also serve as a platform for diplomacy and debate, where students are also taught. the skills like negotiations and forigen policy management to become overall delegates in the Model United Nations Conference.
